Prior to founding Roo, Nate was managing partner at Acertitude where he launched and scaled one of the largest practices at the firm. Prior to Acertitude, Nate was the founder and CEO of venture-backed SaaS company, PeopleMatter.
Earlier in his career, Nate was part of the startup management team as Vice President of Sales at Benefitfocus (NASDAQ: BNFT) from its rise as a startup to becoming the largest benefits enrollment software provider in the U.S. Nate is member of YPO, An Aspen Institute Fellow, and was appointed economic ambassador by UN Secretary Nikki Haley in 2015.

Post investment, Carlos works closely with portfolio company management teams to drive value creation, advising on financial strategy, capital allocation, and acquisition initiatives. His hands-on involvement ensures that Roo Capital’s portfolio companies are strategically positioned for growth and operational excellence.
In addition to his investment and portfolio responsibilities, Carlos oversees all traditional CFO and CCO functions for Roo Capital, including accounting, tax, compliance, and financial reporting across the firm and its portfolio entities.
Prior to joining Roo Capital, Carlos was Director of Finance at Claure Group, the family office of ex-SoftBank executive Marcelo Claure, where he managed financial operations and strategic investments across a diversified global portfolio. Earlier in his career, he spent over a half-decade at PwC, specializing in Transaction Advisory for private equity and venture capital fund sponsors.
Carlos is a Certified Public Accountant and holds both an MBA in Finance and a BS in Accounting from Bentley University.

Before joining Roo Partners, Jairo helped drive international growth and operational excellence at ACAMS, the global leader in Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crime compliance training, leading up to its acquisition by Adtalem Global Education.
With a background in Engineering and over 15 years of experience leading cross-functional teams across the U.S., APAC, Europe, and LATAM, Jairo has driven transformation and operational excellence in SaaS, EdTech, and business services organizations. His background spans IT operations, Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Enterprise Process Design, guiding companies through complex change management and business transformation initiatives.
Outside of work, Jairo is an avid home chef, happiest when cooking for his family, exploring a great book, and collecting signed copies from his favorite authors.

Before joining Roo Capital, Zane was an Investment Banking Analyst at J.P. Morgan in the Technology group, where he advised software, IT services, and deep-tech companies on M&A, leveraged buyouts, and capital raises for both private and public clients. He was previously the first employee at a financial data startup (acquired in 2025), where he led fundraising, product design, and marketing efforts.
Zane holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Delaware.

Before joining Roo Capital, Bryan worked in EY’s SAP Technology Consulting practice, advising Fortune 500 clients across the consumer goods, energy, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors. As a logistics and warehouse management subject-matter expert, he led digital transformation projects focused on efficiency, data integration, and scalable system design, and contributed to broader strategy efforts on organizational structure and operating models.
Bryan holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Chemical Engineering and German from The Pennsylvania State University. His background in analytical problem solving, systems thinking, and cross-cultural collaboration informs his structured and pragmatic approach to helping founders scale their businesses.
Outside of work, Bryan is an avid soccer enthusiast and the founder and manager of a semi-professional soccer club in Miami, where he channels his passion for teamwork, leadership, and community building.

Before joining Roo Capital, Joaquin was an Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman Sachs, where he advised banks and specialty finance companies on mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments.
Joaquin graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University’s Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management with a B.S. in Applied Economics and Management, concentrating in Finance and Food Industry Management.
Originally from Argentina and raised in Connecticut, Joaquin enjoys cooking, running, and watching rugby in his free time.

Before joining Roo Capital, Nico was a Summer Analyst at Braemont Capital, a middle-market private equity firm, where he supported the deal team on transactions across the software industry. Earlier in his career, he gained experience at Rockefeller Capital Management, assisting money managers in evaluating investment products and client strategies.
Nico is earning his B.A. in Political Science and Statistics from Middlebury College, where he competes on the Alpine Ski Team. Prior to college, he spent two years as a professional alpine ski racer, competing internationally with the U.S. Ski Team.
When he’s not connecting with founders or exploring new investment opportunities, Nico enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and cooking with his wife.
